The Digital Learning Studio serves as a smart classroom and a high-tech studio for faculty to explore and experiment with the latest media technologies for presentation.
The Studio supports media production for face-to-face lectures, forum presentations, interviews and even performances, with and without live audience. It’s major features include:
- Edge-blend projection for panoramic display on a curved screen
- Green screen chromakey effect
- Studio LED ceiling lighting
- 4K video recording and Dolby Atmos audio effect
- Ceiling microphone array to enhance audio quality and maintaining 360° coverage
Recently, the Studio is re-configured to support online presentation via Zoom and other platforms. The setup will reproduce the experiences of physical presentation space. Speakers can present lively with studio lighting, backdrop, PowerPoint, whiteboard or even light-board. Online participants will see the gesture, movement and interactivities of presenters captured by cameraman instead of talking head by webcam. Please contact Anthony HO (ptykho@ust.hk) for details.
